The programme of intensive preparatory courses of the Czech language in combination with English is intended for the students who would like to study at the Czech universities and it has been developed taking into consideration the requirements for entrance exams at the Czech state universities.
Duration of programme I: 1st September 2015 – 31st August 2016.
Price of the course: 4 500 €.
Duration of programme II: 3rd November 2015 – 31st August 2016.
Price of the course: 4 200 €
Number of students in a group: 12-14.
The programme includes:
- 720 teaching hours of Czech (4 classes 5 times a week);
- 192 teaching hours of English (5 teaching hours: 3 + 2 teaching hours a week);
- 320 teaching hours of subjects necessary for admission to universities.
In the summer term the subjects for pre-university preparation are planned – these are the subjects which are absolutely necessary for secondary school graduates who intend to take entrance exams at universities. The course is divided into the following sections according to academic directions:
- humanistic which includes the basics of social sciences and history;
- technical, economic which includes mathematics and physics;
- medical which includes chemistry and biology.
Pre-university preparation is included in the price of the programme only provided that there are 5 students in a group for each section. In case there are less than 5 students in a group for each section, the students pay for the subjects he/she has chosen individually.
The programme of intensive preparatory courses of the Czech language in combination with the English language is finished with the state exams in Czech and English. The basic state language exam is an exam on B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The students, who successfully pass the exam, will receive a Certificate of successful language exam completion. The students take the exam in English on their own request.

In spoken language the graduates of the programme of intensive preparatory courses of the Czech language in combination with English should be able to describe the reality on the topics of interest. They should also be able to defend their point of view and to point out the advantages and disadvantages of various opinions. In written language the graduates of the programme should be able to produce written texts in the context of the subject under study and should be further able to use complex sentences and terms according to the focus of the subject.
The following is included in the price of the programme: visa support of each student (consultations during the preparation of the documents necessary for a long-term visa application), meeting the student at his/her arrival to Prague, arranging accommodation, help with all technical and ordinary issues, help with validation of the diploma (secondary school certificate), assistance with visa extension, consultations regarding the application and admission to universities.
Additional costs upon arrival: accommodation at the student residence hall (220-260 Eur per month), food (150-200 Eur), transport fare (10 Eur), the Internet (10 Eur), and mobile connection (10-20 Eur).
